Hey there, lovely friends—
I feel like I blinked and winter disappeared.
I’ve been deep in the writing cave working on Wistful Whispers, Seamus and Marcella’s story, and let me tell you—it’s got my heart wrapped all the way around it. Their slow-burning, reverse-age-gap connection is building into something really special, and I can’t wait for you to read it. That said… I’m a little behind.
Between bouncing back and forth from Seattle to Las Vegas, raising my wildly adorable (and slightly dramatic) Pomsky pup, Phalen, and hosting my in-laws from Australia, it feels like my whole winter flew by in fast-forward. Add in puppy classes (he earned his first diploma 😂) and my first book signing of the year in sunny Phoenix—it’s been a lot in the best way.
Now spring is finally starting to show up in Seattle, with cherry blossoms blooming and that subtle warmth in the air that makes you want to take a deep breath and hit reset.
Writing is still my favorite way to wind down and reconnect—slipping into my Kaylene Universe always grounds me.
